Kasweka “Kassy” Konga

Junior Lawyer

Kasweka is qualified as an Advocate of the Superior Courts of Zambia with a wealth of practice experience across various sectors of the law and expertise in Energy and Mining Law. Prior to joining GreenCo Kasweka worked as a lawyer in the Energy, Resources and Infrastructure Team of Corpus Legal Practitioners, the Corporate and Commercial Advisory as well as the Dispute Resolution Teams of AMW & Co. Legal Practitioners and as a Legal Consultant for CGM Power Group Limited, respectively. In 2019 Kasweka successfully completed the Women in African Power (WiAP) Residential Training Program funded by USAID through Power Africa and YALI Africa and in 2020 she graduated from the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs Program. Kasweka is currently participating in the Open Africa Power Program Cohort for 2023 which is jointly being run by the Enel Foundation and Sustainable Energy for All (SEforAll). As part of this training, she will be undertaking courses at the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business and the European University Institute Florence School of Regulation on regulation to support the energy transition. Kasweka obtained a specialized masters in Energy and Natural Resources Law from Queen Mary University of London in 2016 and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Kent in 2015.
