Kala is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, with experience in project finance, project development and regulatory law. Prior to Africa GreenCo, Kala was a legal associate in the Banking and Finance team at Norton Rose Fulbright South Africa, and advised on complex legal frameworks across various sectors, particularly renewable energy.

In addition, Kala has supported regional initiatives like the Power Africa East Africa Energy Program, where he assisted with the preparation of template agreements for bilateral energy trading among East African Power Pool members, and advised on the regulatory landscape for renewable energy projects in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Kala is committed to sustainable energy solutions and has a passion for enhancing legal frameworks in emerging markets.
