GreenCo Secures USD 40 Million Facility from U.S. DFC to Boost Renewable Energy in Southern Africa

We are excited to announce that GreenCo has partnered with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) to drive renewable energy investments in Southern Africa. This USD 40 million facility will bolster GreenCo’s creditworthiness, enabling us to further scale our efforts to support Independent Power Producers (IPPs) and create a more stable, resilient renewable energy market across Zambia, South Africa, Namibia, and beyond.

With this support, GreenCo can access a USD 50 million Liquidity Buffer Capacity to back over 350MW of renewable energy capacity, reinforcing our role as a trusted energy aggregator and trader. This partnership aligns with our mission to unlock the region’s renewable energy potential while contributing to global climate goals.
