GreenCo continues regional expansion – signs 85MW PPA in South Africa with AMEA Power.

Africa GreenCo Group through it’s southern entity, GreenCo Power Services (Pty) Limited is delighted to announce that it has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Dubai-based developer AMEA Power. The project will be financed by Standard Bank of South Africa and witnessed by high-level officials from both countries. This agreement is a significant step towards mitigating the current electricity crisis and increasing efficiency in the power sector.

AMEA Power, known for delivering clean energy across Africa, will invest in different clean energy solutions and establish strategic partnerships with local companies. GreenCo’s CEO, Ana Hajduka, expresses confidence in the future of energy markets, knowing that institutions like Standard Bank are supporting innovative approaches such as theirs.

AMEA Power already has more than 1,230MW of clean energy projects either in operation or under construction in Burkina Faso, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, and Togo, and is rapidly expanding its investments in wind, solar, energy storage, and green hydrogen. This project signifies the inception of a long-term engagement aimed at stimulating and deepening the South African and regional power markets while mitigating climate change.
