Africa GreenCo Cited in White House Press Release
Africa GreenCo Group is proud to announce that the company was cited in the recent White House press release titled “Fact Sheet: Vice President Harris’ Announces Initiatives to Advance the US Partnership with Zambia.”
In the press release, the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) announced its support for the expansion and reliability of Zambia’s renewable energy infrastructure through more than $1 million in grant funding for a feasibility study that will help develop a utility-scale battery energy storage system. This grant will advance the efforts of Africa GreenCo Group to develop a 400 megawatt-hour battery energy storage system portfolio that would be one of the largest in Africa.
Africa GreenCo Group is honoured to be recognized by the U.S. government for its commitment to the development of renewable energy infrastructure in Africa. The company is dedicated to increasing access to reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy in the region and is proud to partner with organizations such as the USTDA to achieve this goal.
